BAM believe buildings are for people and creating and maintaining a building is both a human and a technical challenge. BAM design, construct, refurbish and operate outstanding buildings for public sector, private sector and own portfolio of properties. Projects undertaken by BAM in the last 4 years include Tate Gallery St Ives, Staple Hill Primary School Bristol and Somerset College Arts House Taunton.
Bouygues Construction is a global player in construction and services. Through property development, financial engineering and services designed for end users, Bouygues meets the specific needs of each of their customers and have the capacity to fulfil all requirements. In addition Bouygues are looking to incorporate sustainable construction into the lifecycle of their buildings and structures. Bouygues have been involved in a number of projects across the South including schools, a residential care home for young adults, a leisure centre and an innovation centre.
Building Greater Exeter
Galliford Try are one of the UK’s leading house building and construction groups. They are at the forefront of the construction industry with approximately 5,500 employees working on a huge range of house building and construction projects. Galliford Try’s focus is on delivering first class business solutions and building long term relationships with customers, employees, supply chains and the communities within which they work. Galliford Try has a strong presence in the South West currently working on The Brewery Square in Dorchester.
ISG is an international construction services company delivering fit out, construction, engineering services and a range of specialist solutions. ISG delivers consistently great customer service across geographies, sectors and services enabling them to build long lasting relationships and develop fresh and relevant solutions to meet evolving needs. Examples of local projects include Avon and Somerset Police – 1 Bridewell Street Refurb, Dorset CC Pimperne CE VC School and Beacon Centre Musgrove Hospital.

Since the 1970’s, the Midas Group has been trusted to deliver a diverse range of projects including refurbishments, and fit outs, construction projects, interior and retail schemes as well as property development and energy solutions, across a variety of sectors. Using local knowledge and expertise Midas work closely with their local supply chain partners to deliver tailored solutions for every customer and project. Morgan Sindall, the construction, infrastructure and design division of Morgan Sindall Group plc, is a leading UK construction and regeneration group. The company is organised through five businesses of Construction, Transport, Tunnelling, Utility Services and Design and they deliver public and private sector projects of all sizes. Projects that Morgan Sindall have been involved in across the South West over the last 4 years include Bristol City Hall Refurbishment, South Tawton Primary School near Okehampton and Manor Park First School Dorchester.
Southern Construction Framework
The Southern Construction Framework (SCF) is the third generation framework in the South of England. It is a joint venture between Devon County Council, Hampshire County Council and Haringey Council.
SASW works with the SCF providing its’ members with apprentices in both Trade and Technician roles. This helps the framework members to meet their Employment and Skills Strategy Targets. The framework members in the South West are Balfour Beatty, BAM, Bouygues, Galliford Try, Kier, Midas, Morgan Sindall, Wates, ISG and Willmott Dixon.
The SCF is a framework that can be used by local authorities, public sector bodies and charities across Greater London, the South East and the South West of England. It covers individual projects or whole programmes of new buildings, extensions, improvements, renovations, repairs and associated site infrastructure works.
Its aim is to share best practice, drive forward new improvements and review performance, workload, pipeline and market intelligence. The SCF is committed to giving framework users the best possible construction experience and to keep improving year on year.

Willmott Dixon Construction’s network of local company offices across England and Wales provides national coverage with a local team. This ensures that the client is given close attention and also helps Willmott Dixon to work with companies local to the projects they are running. Some of the recent Willmott Dixon projects include the Met Office Exeter, Plymouth Schools Cluster and Bournemouth University.
